Welcome to this edition of our online Bariatric Lifestyle magazine. I want to thank you for including me on your journey to regaining your health and recapturing your life on the way to successful long-term weight loss.
The door is finally open to the departure of the dreaded pandemic. That doesn’t mean we should let down our guard. I urge you to get vaccinated and follow the CDC guidelines including wearing a mask when required, maintaining social distancing, and hand washing. It’s been a very rough year for so many. Our hearts go out to those who have suffered the loss of loved ones. May their memories provide some comfort in knowing that they left legacies to endure and cherish forever.
With the coming of warm weather and the lessening of restrictions, we can once again hit the outdoors. Now is the time to take walks and enjoy the budding beauty of nature. The paths in the parks await us as we stroll them on foot and on our bicycles. The tennis and basketball courts, baseball, and soccer fields await our participation as well as having us cheer on our young future athletic heroes. It’s time to clean off the barbecue grill, wash down the outdoor furniture, and create our own beautiful gardens. Bring down the fishing rod from the attic, capture the ever-elusive “big one,” and enjoy the beautiful sunsets along the shore. Get the hole in one you’ve been seeking. The content of this issue of our magazine provides information and support to help enable you to enjoy all of these outdoor activities, while alleviating the stress you may encounter on your bariatric journey. We thank our bariatric professionals and patients for their invaluable contributions.
Please visit our blog and social media pages as their content has been crafted for you with the intention of providing knowledge, encouragement, and support for your long-term weight loss success and the happiness you deserve. You can be the best you can be and my team and I are here to help you accomplish it. We are only a phone call or email away. Don’t hesitate to turn to us when you have questions or feel you are in need of help. If you are pre-op or post-op we address your concerns. If you have fallen off-track don’t hesitate to contact us. We are not judgemental and will help you get back on track without experiencing guilt or embarrassment.
I will once again wrap up my message as I have continually done in the past with the belief that the future is great when we help ourselves and accept help from others. Stay safe. Be well.
